Self Emptiness

Self. Emptiness.

When you are with everyone but me,
you’re with no one.

When you are with no one but me,
you’re with everyone.

Instead of being so bound up with everyone,
be everyone.

When you become that many, you’re nothing.
Empty.

A Charming and Mysterious Boutique Hotel -THE CONCEPT OF PRIVACY

SuiteLroom

Palazzo Segreti is dipped in a suffused – secret – seductive atmosphere.

Emblem of an old-fashioned charme for the elegance of the historic palace, but nestled in the heart of Milan – between La Scala and Castello Sforzesco – this new location welcomes guests as a big and comfortable home. Palazzo Segreti’s harmony, its warm colours, the raw materials, the lights and shadows game, make it a relaxed and private place that breaks away from the frenzy of the city.

“The Design Concept of Palazzo Segreti is based on the idea of a journey into a material and visual tactility”,stated the Architects Antonio Brizzi and Babette Riefenstahl, “A linear, clear and minimal style, combined with a colourful refinement and elegance that is evident in the choice of materials – burnished iron, raw concrete for the walls and ancient wood on the floor – and in the use of soft lights and ethereal shadows

Design - Concept

Palazzo Segreti’s project, a complete restructuring of a late nineteenth century building, is inspired by the creation of a real Home for guests. Every detail expresses the concept of an intimate welcome, expressing a typical Italian style. The palace is dyed with warm and soft colours and is designed to embrace guests, making them the protagonists of the space. Nothing is simply efficient: Palazzo Segreti wants to seduce.

The Hotel becomes an imaginary journey into matter, colour and visual tactility to uncover the rooms’ small details.

The old entrance, renovated with a contemporary look, attracts the passer’s look. The oxidized metal, with its dense colour, frames the front door. The hall straightaway reveals the architectural style: a linear and minimal style expressing a careful search of refinement and elegance.

The nineteenth-century arches of the high-ceiling lounge are impactful: pure geometric shapes, monochromatic but nuanced by touches of colour, soft lights and ethereal shadows. The iron furniture and the concrete of the walls contrast with the warm and ancient wood of the floors.

Corridors to the rooms are intimate as in a private home and unwind punctuated by shots of light. The dark gray spread on volumes enhances the guests’ need for privacy.

Rooms are suddenly revealed as delightful surprises. Different and unique, each with its own distinctive character, the rooms are characterized by singular and carved wood, spatulated and full of colour concrete, diaphanous crystals and soft fabrics that add a touch of quiet sensuality.
